Client: COPAS Technologies
Advance M&E was appointed to carry out an energy audit at a factory facility producing aircraft parts to advise the Client on electrical demand on the various CNC machines/compressors/plant etc. with a view to introducing further processes and machines at the factory.
Scope: We carried out an electrical monitoring exercise on several cycles of production processes over a quarter and produced the outputs and results from our various devices to tabulate the exact information on energy use. From this, we were able to advise the Client on the exact operational energy use at the factory and this, in turn, allow them to go forward with the purchase of new plant and machinery with confidence, knowing exactly what energy was available and what diversity was suitable to apply to the systems at the facility. We are currently in the planning stage with the Client on a complete MEP design package for a new factory site for the company.
Client: Lenalea Electronics Factory
We were involved in the electrical design for an electronics production factory in Markethill Co. Armagh, which involves the design of the electrical infrastructure of the supply and distribution network within the factory to ensure safe, reliable power for the critical operations of the factory. The previous installation was unsatisfactory and we were appointed to design and implement a new BS7671 compliant network to allow the Client to continue production at the facility without interruption.
Scope: We have modeled the complete electrical distribution system from DNO intake to the final circuits on a software package to enable the necessary NICEIC documents can be issued to demonstrate compliance to the Client’s customers, suppliers, and insurers.
Client: Ruas Eikon Exhibition Centre
We carried out a sitewide review of the utility infrastructure at the expansive exhibition site at the Maze in Co, Down, this included a review of incoming Water/telecom/gas and electrical utilities.
Scope: We are monitoring the demands on-site with a view to producing an overall strategy for energy use. The outcome of the electrical infrastructure will likely be a new substation and associated underground cabling network to be procured from the local DNO. We will be the consultant engineer responsible for this upgrade including necessary design/DNO liaison/Client agent and supervision duties. We are also involved in the MEP design of a multi function building on the site for the Client, which has been completed recently.
